Honourable Chief Charles Umuezurike Orie is a distinguished Nigerian businessman, philanthropist, and political leader from Umuokanne, Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State. Public Service and Leadership

 Chief Orie served as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC). His tenure was defined by transformative initiatives anchored on sustainable development, social inclusion, and youth empowerment in oil-producing communities.

Under his leadership, ISOPADEC achieved several milestones, including:

• The construction and full equipping of three ultra-modern hospitals, one in each oil-producing Local Government Area of Imo State,       greatly improving access to quality healthcare.

• The rehabilitation of 20 primary healthcare centers, extending essential medical services to underserved rural communities.

• The construction of a concrete bridge in Oguta, located in the village of the late Senator Arthur Nzeribe, enhancing transportation,   safety, and local economic activity.

• The establishment of a state-of-the-art Skill Acquisition Center in Awommamma, Oru East LGA, equipping youths with practical skills   for self-reliance and employment.

 In addition, Chief Orie introduced wide-ranging skill acquisition programs, agricultural job-creation initiatives, and scholarship schemes that benefitted youths across Imo State.

Political Aspiration

 In 2024, Chief Orie voluntarily resigned from his position at ISOPADEC to embark on extensive political consultations ahead of the 2027 elections. This decision underscored his renewed commitment to serving the people of Imo State through purposeful, inclusive, and visionary governance.
